Support Services
The University of Silesia has established a unit devoted specifically to various forms of supporting its students – the Student Services Center.
The main objective of the of the center is to integrate the university’s efforts to support the students, such as accommodation or scholarship services, insurance consulting, science circle-related issues, but also personal and professional development of students and preparing them to enter the labor market. The office also offers psychological support – among others through providing assistance, advice in the process of studying, and psychological support in crisis situations. The aim of the psychological support is also to promote the hygiene of mental life, including the prevention of addiction. Another priority of the Center is further adjusting of the University of Silesia for the needs of the disabled.
