On 28 June 2024, an event ‘Organisationally Useful Social Sciences’ will take place. The event is implemented as part of the ‘Science is Everywhere’ project.

Schedule

  • 9.00 a.m. – Prof. Zenon Gajdzica, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences: official opening
  • 9.15 a.m. – Patrycja Szostok-Nowacka, PhD, DLitt, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Promotion: ‘Knowledge management in an organisation’
  • 10.00 a.m. – Agnieszka Kotulska, MA, Organisational Head of the Faculty of Social Sciences: ‘Trusting colleagues’
  • 10.30 a.m. – coffee break
  • 11.00 a.m. – Monika Frania, PhD and Magdalena Christ, PhD: ‘Science – human. How to build relationships with the environment and share knowledge and experience’ (workshop classes)
  • 1.00 a.m. – lunch break
  • 1.30 a.m. – debate ‘The future of social sciences’
  • 3.00 p.m. – recap

The event is carried out within the City-Region-Academia stream as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024. It is co-funded by the Silesian Voivodeship – co-organiser of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
