The fifth edition of Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE will take place on 10-12 April 2021. Like every year, the invitation to create ŚFN together is addressed to academics, researchers, doctoral students, students, tutors and members of student research groups, but also to amateur individuals involved in science who want to present their scientific fascinations and passions during the feast of Silesian science at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. Applications with any kinds of activities (exhibition booths, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and other forms of science communication) will be accepted from 24 September to 6 November 2020 via the registration form available on www.slaskifestiwalnauki.pl/nabor-zgloszen-5-edycja.
The Silesian Science Festival is currently working on the solutions to ensure the safety of all event participants. Due to the present epidemic situation in Poland, the most likely solution is the hybrid formula of ŚFN: a limited number of people will be able to attend certain parts of the programme at ICC, whereas other interested individuals may take part in the organised activities online. Due to this, science communicators are asked to offer unobvious ideas to attract people’s attention, as well as solutions that will prove themselves both for those present at ICC and online participants.
