The Institute of Chemistry of the University of Silesia in Katowice is organising the 16th Nationwide Chemistry Competition for high school students.
The competition consists of two stages: written and laboratory.
The written part, which will take place on 8 March 2023 in the form of an online test, will be the preliminary stage – first, participants will listen to a popular science lecture (at 11.00 a.m.), and then they will solve a test in which one or more questions will be related to the lecture.
The laboratory part, scheduled for 20 March 2023, will be the final of the competition, in which only the 20 best participants will take part. The tasks will also take a form of a test – their topics will be related to experiments (in test tubes).
Prizes will be awarded to the winners and finalists of the competition. The founders of the awards are SYNTHOS S.A. – the main sponsor of the competition, the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice, the Institute of Chemistry of the University of Silesia and the Polish Chemical Society.
Registration for the event is mandatory. You can register by filling out the application form. Participants will receive confirmation of registration to the e-mail address they provided.
