Stronger Together
“Stronger Together – Strategic Partnerships of the University of Silesia in Katowice within the Transform4Europe Network.” The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange funded a project under the Strategic Partnerships program.
The project aims to deepen and expand the collaboration between three partners of the Transform4Europe European University: the University of Silesia in Katowice (UŚ), Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas (VMU), and the University of Trieste (UTr) in areas not covered by funding under the main project “Transform4Europe – T4E: The European University for Knowledge Entrepreneurs” (No. 101004048).
The initiative includes the preparation of a program for two double degrees in Political Science and Diplomacy, and Aquamatics, the development of a joint Data Science education module, and the initiation of collaborative research in water quality, as well as pilot studies forming the basis for a joint international research project proposal.
The tasks within the project correspond to three key areas of the Transform4Europe project:
- Digital transformation and smart regions,
- Environmental changes and related social responsibility,
- Social transformations and community building.
Activities, related to modifying study programs to allow students to obtain double degrees (UŚ and VMU in bilateral cooperation) will be of a pilot nature. The experience gained in this way will form the basis for further actions related to creating a joint educational offer, reflecting increasingly strong cooperation and the undertaking of collaborative research.
