University of Silesia in Katowice

As part of the DUO project – University of Silesia – available, universal and open – the Student and PhD Student Ombudsperson runs training sessions entitled ‘Openness, equality, and understanding in teacher-student relationship’.  They are addressed to academics and management staff. They aim to introduce participants to the legal framework of the titular relationship and to educate them on the practical use of legal regulations.

The trainings cover the following issues:

1. What tools help standardise the teacher-student relationship?
2. What are the difficulties in achieving equality, openness, and understanding of this relationship?
3. Is the titular relationship equal, skewed, or mixed?

Group meetings also allow their participants to exchange experiences and identify problems in teacher-student relationships.

There have been four editions of the training so far (up to and including the winter semester of the 2023/2024 academic year).
