Prof. Jadwiga Glumińska-Pawlic appointed to the Council for Counteracting Tax Evasion

On 28 October 2020, Tadeusz Kościński, Minister of Finance, Development Funds and Regional Policy appointed new members for the second term of the Council for Counteracting Tax Evasion for 2020-2024. The Council consists of 9 experts from different environment, including with consulting industry, justice system and administration.

Prof. Jadwiga Glumińska–Pawlic from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia has been appointed to the Council to represent the research community.

The Council is an independent body which issues opinions on the relevance of applying the general clause against tax evasion. Its duties also include providing opinions on draft tax acts and changes in tax law provisions included in other normative acts related to counteracting tax evasion. It also issues opinions on matters concerning the reversal of the effects of tax evasion.

The first term of the Council for Counteracting Tax Evasion expired on 15 September 2020.
