Dariusz Wieczorek, Minister of Science, visited the University of Silesia on 27 March 2024. In Rawa Club, at the spinPLACE attic, he met with the student and PhD student community of universities from the Silesian Voivodeship.
The conversation with the Minister of Science included topics such as social benefits, scientific development, psychological aid, student mobility, use of modern technologies in higher education, status of PhD students as well as infrastructure for science and education. The submitted proposals were also handed over to the Minister of Science in writing upon completion of the meeting.
The previously submitted proposals were also discussed during the meeting of doctoral school students with Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, Rector of the University of Silesia, on 27 February 2024. All those which were directly related to the operation of the University of Silesia were collected. The proposed solutions can be found at: https://us.edu.pl/student/en/.
Following the meeting at the Rawa Club, the Minister of Science met rectors of the universities from the Silesian Voivodeship. The main subject of their conversation was the role and needs of Silesian research centres and Silesian science.
