The website www.biurokarier.edu.pl is a platform with job, apprenticeship and internship offers, as well as the possibility to prepare your own professional profile (résumé). The website includes offers published not only in the Career Office of the University of Silesia, but also in several other universities resulting in many, many more opportunities.

Who can register on the website?

The website is addressed to students and graduates of the University of Silesia, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the University of Opole, the University of Warsaw, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, the Lower Silesian School of Higher Education, Jan Grodek State University in Sanok, and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn.

How to register on the website?

The course of the registration procedure depends on your status (student or graduate). If you are a student and a graduate at the same time, follow the registration procedure for students.

Registration procedure for students: 1. log in to the USOSweb system, 2. go to the ‘for everyone’ tab and select the ‘Career Office’, 3. fill in the form containing consent to the processing of personal data in connection with joining the biurokarier.edu.pl website and the e – mail address that will be used to contact employers and the Career Office of the University of Silesia, 4. the next day, you will receive an activation e – mail sent to the e – mail address you provided, 5. log in to the biurokarier.edu.pl website, and then set a new access password, 6. complete your professional profile to increase your chances of finding a job. Registration procedure for graduates: 1. fill in the form, print it and sign it: - registration form for Polish citizens (.docx, PDF) – registration form for foreigners (.docx, PDF) 2. submit the completed and signed form in person or send it to the address of our registered office (UŚ Career Office, ul. Bankowa 12, 40 – 007 Katowice), 3. receive the activation e – mail sent to the e – mail address provided by you (depending on how you submitted the registration form, it may take from one to several days to deliver the activation e – mail), 4. log in to the biurokarier.edu.pl website, and then set a new password, 5. complete your professional profile to increase your chances of finding a job. It is worth starting using the website by completing your professional profile. You can use the contents of the USOSweb for this purpose. You can use information on the course of your studies (e.g. courses you have completed, the title of your diploma thesis). However, this option is available only to people who started their studies not earlier than in 2004.
