Project goals Increasing competencies of the administrative staff of the University of Silesia in Katowice including managerial, communication, intercultural, and language competencies as well as shaping among the employees an attitude of openness. The project is addressed to 120 administrative employees of the University of Silesia, individuals directly involved in service for foreigners, including dean’s offices and university administration and individuals supporting the process of admission to studies as well as the material, social, and psychological support of students.
Project tasks
  1. Training and study trips for administrative employees of the University of Silesia;
  2. Adjustment of the University of Silesia information channels allowing for better adaptation of foreigners at the University of Silesia including translation of legal acts and chosen websites as well as preparing information materials in English;
  3. Development and implementation of Security Policy at the University of Silesia including training administrative employees of the University of Silesia in applying security policy and combating discrimination and unequal treatment.
Programme The programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development “Increasing competencies of the academic staff and the institutions’ potential to receive people from abroad – Welcome to Poland” implemented within the action stipulated in the application for funding No. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN14/18.
