On July 15, 2022, as part of the celebration of the European City of Science 2022, the Regional Conference ESOF2022 in Katowice is held, which is part of the ESOF2022 event in Leiden and the event preceding Katowice’s acceptance of the title of the European City of Science 2024. The conference takes place at the International Congress Center (ICC) in Katowice.
An accompanying event to this conference is the Doctoral Schools Conference, organized by the doctoral schools of the European City of Science 2024 consortium. Three discussion sessions (in Polish) will be held as part of this conference.

- Doctoral education models – a discussion on how doctoral students should be educated – 15.45-17.00 – conference room 7
- Formal and legal side of organizing doctoral schools – 17.15-18.30 – conference room 8
The event is also accompanied by an exhibition of posters for PhD students from Silesian universities. Posters will be presented in the ICC hall throughout the day, and the poster session will be held between 15:15 and 15:45.
