Project description:

This project is the first academic study of algorave—a phenomenon merging rave culture, musical avant-garde, and live coding. It explores human–machine relations where crowd and code co-create sound. Using tools of sonic anthropology and Latour’s actor-network theory, it investigates how technology challenges human agency and reshapes creativity in the algorithmic age. The project also considers computer and organ music controlled via MIDI, expanding the scope of machine-driven performance.
