Meeting under the TRAIL project

On 22 and 23 April the Faculty of Law and Administration will be the host of the 1st international symposium organised as part of the project „TRAIL – Train in your language: multilingual transnational training in EU civil and commercial law”, carried out by the consortium of universities from five European countries (the University of Athens, University of Tallinn, University of Cyprus, University of Latvia and the University of Silesia in Katowice) The goal of the project is to increase the participation of lawyers, notaries and bailiffs in training in the field of civil procedure and commercial law in the European Union. This goal will be achieved by carrying out a series of international training symposia for the exchange of knowledge, experience and good practices for the above-mentioned professional groups with simultaneous interpreting into their native languages.

TRAIL is a significant element of the Faculty of Law and Administration cooperation with the environment. The research team is composed of: Małgorzata Lubelska-Sazanów, PhD (the head); Prof. Ewa Rott-Pietrzyk; Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski; adw. Magdalena Stryja; and Maciej Zachariasiewicz, PhD, DLitt, professor from Kozminski University. During the implementation of the project, the research team undertook a number of joint activities with the Supreme Bar Council, the National Council of Notaries, the National Council of Judicial officers, the District Bar Association in Katowice, Council of Chamber of Civil Law Notaries in Katowice, and Council of Judicial officers in Katowice; therefore, strengthening the existing relations during over a year of cooperation.
