Student Buddy Support
One of the elements of the implementation of the DUO project – ‘University of Silesia – available, universal and open’ is the Student Buddy Support Programme, which is intended to establish a network of student support.
As part of the programme, two representatives are selected among the students of each faculty to act as Accessibility Ambassadors (Buddies) in a given academic year. They provide support for other students by taking advantage of past training and continuous substantive psychological and legal assistance and providing students with information and advice on possible support regarding special educational needs and mental health.
The Student and PhD Student Ombudsperson and their team take an active part in the Student Buddy Support programme: they provide continuous legal assistance as part of Ambassador supervision and conduct legal training sessions.
