The Visual Identity System of the University of Silesia in Katowice has been developed to determine a transparent and coherent visual identity of the University.

The System supports the University’s visibility in Poland and worldwide. The document introduces rules that apply to internal units of the University of Silesia and any third parties when using ready-made and designing new elements for the University of Silesia’s visual identity.

The Visual Identity System of the University of Silesia in Katowice is specified in the Brand Book, which contains the University emblem and detailed description of the graphic sign (logo) of the University of Silesia in Katowice, typography, colour scheme and specific elements of the Visual Identity System, including visiting cards, letterheads etc.

In 2024, the Visual Identity System templates include the European City of Science Katowice 2024 logo and the Transform4Europe logo.

University of Silesia Logotype

The logo of the University of Silesia is a protected sign. It should be used by the university employees in connection with university activities and related to the University of Silesia. Its use must be consulted with the Promotion Centre of the University of Silesia (e-mail: promocja@us.edu.pl).

Third parties may use the logo of the University pursuant to the Rules and Regulations for the Use of USil Logo and Logotype by Third Parties available at aktyprawne.us.edu.pl, provided that no different document stipulates otherwise.

Rules and Regulations for the Use of USil Logo and Logotype by Third Parties

Logotypes of faculties, institutes and research centres are available at individual units and the Promotion Centre. In order to have them shared, you can contact the Promotion Centre at promocja@us.edu.pl.
