Career coaching
What is career coaching?
Coaching is a process aimed at supporting you in pursuing your goals and helping you discover your resources. The coach becomes a companion in your development, with the help of whom you will set your goals, notice your potential and achievements, and you will act much more effectively.
What is career coaching for?
Coaching can help you when:
- you feel stuck and you don’t know how to move forward,
- you want to motivate yourself and start working on developing your professional life,
- you want to overcome your own limitations and beliefs,
- you are trying to restore a balance between private and professional life,
- you want to improve the effects of your actions,
- you hesitate when making important career decisions.

How do I make an appointment with a career coach?
If you want to overcome obstacles that block your development or increase your motivation to act, sign up by sending an e – mail to: bk@us.edu.pl, and the coach will propose a suitable date for an individual meeting.
During the first session, you will set the goal of coaching. However, it would be best if you were prepared before the meeting and thought about what professional area you would like to work on. Thanks to the questions and coaching tools used by the coach, after a series of meetings you will be able to make a significant change in your life and look at certain things from a new perspective.
For Whom?
We especially invite:
- students of the 3rd year of 1st cycle studies and the 2nd year of 2nd cycle studies, as well as the 5th year of long cycle studies,
- university graduates up to 3 months after graduation (provided that they join the project during their studies).
We would also like to remind you about the possibility of participating in career counselling, to which we invite all students.
Until 30 April 2021, career coaching was carried out as part of the project ‘STUDIES AND WHAT NEXT – increasing the competitiveness of University of Silesia students in the labour market’ financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund. Currently, we still continue career coaching meetings.
