Another edition of “Legia Akademicka” programme is about to start. In line with the decision of the Minister of National Defence, the programme which included basic and non-commissioned officer modules before, has been expanded with the training for future officers. “Legia Akademicka” is a project addressed to the students who want to undergo military training and achieve a military rank with a prospect of future professional military service. The programme consists of two parts. One of them is theoretical training carried out during studies. It consists in classes run by academics or instructors from military units in the form of lectures and shows, as well as several self-study courses published on the e-learning platform. The second part is practical training, conducted in the territory of military units during holiday. In the previous editions, approximately 10,000 students from 74 universities completed the theoretical part. Over 7,000 of them successfully completed the practical part and became reserve soldiers.
