Competition for the best Bachelor’s (and Engineering), Master’s and Doctoral theses the field of forced displacement and/or refugee studies

On behalf of the Field Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Lublin, the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, we are pleased to invite your students to participate in the second national edition of the competition for the best Bachelor’s (and Engineering), Master’s and Doctoral theses the field of forced displacement and/or refugee studies.
 
This initiative was launched at the start of the year (https://x.com/UNHCRPoland/status/1770066293565129089) and aims to raise public awareness in the field of forced displacement and to encourage research in this area, as well as to contribute to the development of actions aimed at improving the situation of refugees and forcibly displaced persons.
 
Students can submit their thesis relating to the topic of forced displacement and/or refugee studies that was defended at any university in Poland, between 1 January 2021 and 30 September 2024. It should be submitted through the online form: Konkurs na najlepszą pracę dyplomową i doktorską (II edycja) (google.com) not later than 31 October 2024 (23:59).
 
Prizes and distinctions will be awarded in three thesis categories. Authors whose thesis receives first and second place will receive prizes while the third place winners will receive distinctions.
