Faculty inaugurations
Dear Student,
we are starting the upcoming term time with the official Interuniversity Inauguration of the Academic Year, which will take place on 30 September 2025 at 4.00 p.m. at the seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. The Inauguration is an event organised by the Academic Consortium Katowice City of Science and is addressed to all members of the academic community. Register for the event now:
- Faculty of Law and Administration | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 1 October 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in Katowice, at ul. Bankowa 11B in Lecture Hall No. 8
- Faculty of Natural Sciences | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 2 October 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in Katowice, at ul. Bankowa 9 in Lecture Hall No. 126
- Doctoral School | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 3 October 2025 at 9.00 a.m. at spinPLACE, ul. Bankowa 5
- Faculty of Humanities | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 3 October 2025 at 12.00 p.m. in Katowice, at ul. Uniwersytecka 4, in the A. Pawlikowski Lecture Hall
- Faculty of Science and Technology | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 6 October 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in Chorzów, at ul. 75. Pułku Piechoty 1A, in Lecture Hall P/0/05
- Faculty of Social Sciences | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 7 October 2025 at 10.00 a.m. in Katowice, at ul. Bankowa 11, in the Kazimierz Popiołek Lecture Hall
- Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 8 October 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in Katowice, at ul. św. Pawła 3 in the cinema room
- Faculty of Theology | The inauguration of the academic year is combined with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Silesia and takes place on 7 November 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in Katowice, at ul. Jordana 18 in the Faculty of Theology Lecture Hall
- Faculty of Arts and Education Science | The inauguration of the academic year will take place on 16 October 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in Cieszyn, at ul. Rynek 12 in the Cieszyn Cultural Centre.
