Announcement the program to support doctoral students in publishing reserach results in international journals in the project „International from the beginning – wsparcie umiędzynarodowienia”, financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange in the STER Program

The project manager “International from the beginning – wsparcie umiędzynarodowienia” informs about the announcement of a program to support the financing of the publication of doctoral students’ research results in international journals.

The financing covers proofreading and the costs of publication in journals.

The recruitment is conducted on an ongoing basis.

The most important conditions for obtaining financing:

  • the article is ready for proofreading / for sending to the publisher
  • the doctoral student is the first or sole author
  • the journal has at least 140 ministerial points in the case of exact and natural sciences and in the case of engineering and technical sciences or 70 points in the case of humanities, social sciences and theological sciences

How to start participation in the project

At least 5 weeks before the departure date, the doctoral student who get financing contacts the project office at ster@us.edu.pl to prepare the departure documents and arrange to sign an agreement with the university on financing the departure at the Doctoral School office. The intern provides the necessary data to prepare the agreement:

  • name and surname
  • PESEL/passport number
  • address of residence (in Poland)
  • period of the internship (first and last day of mobility).

The intern receives funds in the form of a lump sum to cover the costs of travel and accommodation and organizes the trip on his/her own hand. The internship participant is obliged to collect financial documentation from the trip (travel tickets, accommodation costs) and present it upon request of the university. In the standard settlement, these documents are not required.

Dokumenty i działania niezbędne do rozliczenia stażu

No later than 14 days after the end of the mobility, the intern is obliged to settle it. To do this he or she should:

  • immediately after returning, prepares and sends to ster@us.edu.pl the financial settlement of the trip on a form Rozliczenie-finansowe-wyjazdu (must be filled on Polish form; English translation for comparison: Financial Settlement)
  • within 14 days after completing the internship, electronically:
    • sends a short press release about the internship, preferably with authorized photos, which can be placed on the university website
    • fills in the evaluation form [available from September]
  • comes to the Doctoral School office within 14 days after completing the internship and provides the following documents

Information obligation of the project participant

The doctoral student will be obliged to include the following information in all the publications and reports developed in connection with the internship funded from the Project: “Measure co-financed within the project International from the beginning – support for internationalization funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the STER Program”.

The activity is co-financed by the project International from the beginning – wsparcie umiędzynarodowienia financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange under the STER Programme.
