University of Silesia in the STER Programme of Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange
funds for internationalization of doctoral schools
We are happy to announce that the University of Silesia is on the list of 15 universities qualified for financing under the STER program – Internationalization of doctoral schools. The application prepared by the Doctoral School in cooperation with the International Environmental Doctoral School assumes financing of the following activities:
- increasing scholarships for the best doctoral students from abroad
- increasing scholarships for the best doctoral students who carry out their doctoral project in cooperation with a foreign institution
- 18 internships abroad (1 mounth long)
- remuneration for tutors from foreign universities and research centers (Doctoral School PhD students)
- remuneration for lecturers from foreign academic or research centers (IEDS)
- funds for organizing seasonal schools (summer, winter, etc.)
- funds to support the activities of the University of Silesia under the Transform4Europe program
- funds to strengthen cooperation with other research centers and to join the EUA Council for Doctoral Education
- additional support for supervisors working with foreign doctoral students
organization of a meeting of the International Advisory Council of the IEDS - funds for promotion
- funds for proofreading of publications
- funds for access to full-text publication databases and to cover publication costs
