Doctoral seminar and tutoring

Individual classes (seminars, tutoring) are carried out in accordance with the applications. The tutor and the doctoral student decide jointly about the form of classes and the criteria for obtaining credit.

Methodology of scientific research

30 hours, 5 ECTS

Each doctoral student participates in three ten-hour classes. PhD students choose two or three modules – in social sciences and in the natural and exact sciences one module is common to all, and in the humanities all three modules are elective. Doctoral students of artistic disciplines may provide additional tutoring instead of these classes.

Teaching in higher education school

20 hours, 4 ECTS

Classes in interdisciplinary groups, in the form of seminars and trainings with experts in the field of education. The module is organized by the Open University. Schedule:

1. History, methods and changes in academic teaching
2. Neurodidactics – teaching and learning processes
3. Psycho-pedagogical myths, models of learning (learning)
4. Organization of own work and work with the group
5. Learning through experience – Kolb’s cycle and supporting methods
6. Contact didactics and remote learning. Digital tools in contemporary academic teaching
7. How to use didactic experience in scientific research?
8. Feedback – methods of knowledge and skills verification

Classes organized in 8 Polish-speaking groups, carried out on Wednesdays (online part) and Thursdays (stationary) and in one English-speaking group (Tuesdays, start online, until the arrival of all doctoral students from abroad). Group schedule:
