Position: PhD student in physical sciences

Unit of the project realization: Faculty of Science and Technology – University of Silesia in Katowice

The PhD student will be involved in the National Science Center (NCN) project, the aim of which is to investigate how factors such as size, shape anisotropy, structural complexity, orientation, and value of dipole moment influence the reorientation dynamics of large glass-forming molecules studied with broadband dielectric spectroscopy (BDS). In particular, the PhD student will be responsible for the performance of dielectric and rheological measurements following the assumptions of the project. He/she will be responsible for data analysis, planning further experiments, preparing manuscripts for publications, and will be obliged to participate in scientific conferences.

Duration of the scholarship: 12 months (extendable to 48 months max)

Scholarship amount: 4 266,58 PLN/month
