Individual education at the Doctoral School

Education at the Doctoral School is of a personalised nature. Its superior aim is for the doctoral student to prepare a very good doctoral thesis and enter mature, international scientific life. Therefore, even when a doctoral student participates in classes organised for a large or medium-sized group, the programme and content matter of the classes, as well as the case studies analysed and the conditions for receiving credit are designed so as to take into account the student’s individual needs. Most importantly, however, doctoral students’ education is personalised, which means two things. Firstly, the students are taught individually or in small groups. Secondly, the doctoral student has influence on the choice of teachers, groups and types of classes they participate in and where they meet the requirements of their curriculum. In case of individual needs, for example related to frequent or long-term trips, a doctoral student may be granted individual mode of education.
