Statistics

In accordance with the Statute of the University of Silesia, the Ombudsperson is to ensure the protection of the rights of students, doctoral students, postgraduate students, and participants in other forms of education.

The Ombudsperson’s tasks include in particular:

  1. intervening on behalf of these persons (individual cases), as well as
  2. presenting problems related to their situation to the University bodies and spreading awareness of their rights (systemic cases).

The tables below show the number of individual cases and systemic cases handled by the Ombudsperson starting from the 2020/2021 academic year.

The ‘classes’ category appears in the statistics from the academic year 2022/2023 onwards. In previous years, cases involving classes were classified under other categories, most commonly ‘communication with staff’.
