A new website of the University of Silesia in Katowice www.zdalny.us.edu.pl has been launched. It will be used for transmitting information on the operation of the University of Silesia in Katowice during the pandemic. The website contains e.g. announcements and ordinances of the University authorities, as well as questions and answers about the epidemic and coronavirus.
The articles have been divided into four sections. Each of them has been tailored to specific recipients:
- materials on classes, exam session, internships, as well as social and psychological support are shared in the part for students, doctoral students and post-graduate students;
- section addressed to academics contains most important information on conducting scientific research, implementation of projects, making and settling business trips, participation in trainings and organisation of the academic year;
- non-academic employees may get to know the details of remote and on-site work, technical and equipment support, participation in trainings and business trips;
- there are also materials for partners of the University of Silesia, including institutions, lessees, business partners and research partners.
Additional information on the operation of the University of Silesia in Katowice during the pandemic is available in the Resources tab. It mainly includes: educational materials, access to databases and digital resources, useful information on psychological support and professional development, as well as content published during the #UŚsupports campaign.
The new website will replace www.koronawirus.us.edu.pl.
Announcements on the current status of University operation will also be published on a specially dedicated information bar, which is available on the websites of the University of Silesia. Detailed information about the risk levels is available at www.us.edu.pl.
