The recruitment of candidates for the Silesian Scientific Award has begun!
The Silesian Scientific Award (ŚNN) is presented as part of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE. It is awarded to researchers and artists, who considerably contribute to the development of science, possess remarkable artistic achievements, and promote Silesian science both nationally and internationally. The award may be granted for overall, lifetime achievements, or for achievements accomplished within two years preceding the year in which the award is presented.
All universities co-organising the ŚFN present this prestigious award. Each university nominates candidates from the pool of employees and doctoral students in accordance with their internal procedure, and the finalists are selected by the Award Committee. The Award Committee is composed of representatives of the universities co-organising the ŚFN. This year, Katarzyna Mizia-Stec, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector for Science and Intenational Cooperation of the Silesian University of Technology chairs the Award Committee.
The recruitment at the University of Silesia has started. We invite all interested employees and doctoral students of the University of Silesia to apply for the Silesian Scientific Award competition. The prize for the laureate in the “employee” category is PLN 12,000.
The applications are submitted via an application form (available in Polish and English), which has to be completed by 29 April 2022. Candidates can apply on their own or through a third party.
