PERSONS WITH MOBILITY IMPAIRMENTS
We offer support to students and doctoral students with mobility impairments, the support including:
- assigning assistants to students with disabilities (ASwD) – such persons are to provide support thus enabling the student or doctoral student to participate in the academic life more effectively, i.e. during: commuting to the university, taking notes, visits to the library or the dean’s office, conducting scientific research, etc.; the detailed scope of assistance is agreed upon individually;
- providing educational support equipment – it is possible to rent equipment that supports the learning process, e.g. notebooks, magnifying glass and recorders;
- providing friendly rooms – in student residence halls in Katowice and Sosnowiec, accommodation in rooms adapted to the needs of persons with mobility impairments is offered to both students and doctoral students.
