Methods of scientific research - research field classes
The aim of the classes is to acquaint doctoral students with various aspects of research methods and techniques. The semester (30 hours) is divided into two stages. The first stage is for the students to work in large groups comprising representatives of all disciplines of their research field (science and natural sciences as well as engineering and technical sciences; social sciences, humanities, theology and arts), which enables them to broaden their perception of research methods, noticing similarities and differences between their respective disciplines. Education in the second part of the semester takes place in small teams comprising one or two disciplines of a similar methodological profile. For the whole time, the classes have the form of a workshop. They are taught by experienced researchers, outstanding experts in their disciplines.
