University of Silesia in Katowice

The enrollment for candidates qualified in the admission procedure will take place from July 19, 2023 to July 21, 2023:

Wednesday, July 19, 2023: 9.30 – 12.30; 13.30 – 15.00;
Thursday, July 20, 2023: 9.30 – 12.30; 13.30 – 15.00;
Friday, July 21, 2023: 9.30 – 12.00;

The enrollment should be made in person or by a person authorized in writing (the authorization remains in the documentation) at the seat of the Doctoral School, Katowice, ul. Bankowa 14, room 406B.

Candidates from abroad, who cannot come to Poland shortly after admission results (for visa or epidemic reasons), should contact Ms. Diana Pasek in the Doctoral School’s office (diana.pasek@us.edu.pl).

Candidates who have not yet uploaded a photo to the IRK system and have not filled in the ORCID number are requested to fill in immediately – without this enrollment will not be possible.

The candidate brings the documents in a white, tied A4 folder. The folder should be described in accordance with the instructions (folder_description-2023). The folder must contain:

1. Application – personal survey – for admission to the Doctoral School, printed from the personal candidate’s account in IRK: my account -> Enrollment applications -> Documents and further steps (at the bottom of the page)
2. A copy of the diploma confirming obtaining the second-degree qualifications (the original is available for control), or in the absence of such a document, a certificate from the dean’s office confirming the award of the title. A copy of the diploma should be delivered immediately after receiving it.
3. Completed in accordance with the instructions ZUS ZUA file (zał 2 druk ZUS ZUA; zał nr 3 ZUS ZUA objaśnienia –printed in two copies. For candidates who don’t speak Polish – please bring an empty document, we will help you to fill it.
4. A completed scholarship application (zał 4 application for a doctoral scholarship 2023) printed in two copies.
5. A signed declaration of knowledge of the principles resulting from the Regulations for the protection, use and management of the results of intellectual work at the University of Silesia in Katowice and the principles of their commercialization (5 – oświadczenie o znajomości zasad – only in Polish for now). Printed in to copies. Notes: “numer albumu” – left free, jednostka: Szkoła Doktorska
6. A statement authorizing the University of Silesia to demonstrate the achievements of the doctoral student in the evaluation of the discipline (zał 7 – declaration for a discipline).
7. Information clause (zał 8 – informational clause GDPR).
