The recruitment of applications for two competitions launched within the framework of Research Excellence Initiative for academics and researchers is currently in progress.

Until the end of November you can submit applications for the „Freedom of research” for the funding of scientific research, proofreading, translation, international mobility, study visits and participation in conferences.

The call for applications entitled „Open access” is to support you in sharing the results of your research in Open Access-type publications. Research staff, as well as teaching and research employees, can obtain financial support in this respect through directors of their institutes. You can apply until 7 December 2020. The maximum funding amount is determined with the applicant.

Within the framework of Research Excellence Initiative programme, we have purchased a license for specialist software called Grammarly for proofreading texts in English. Research employees, research and teaching employees, teachers and doctoral students of the University of Silesia can obtain a Grammarly account in this edition of the competition. Registration is open until 7 December 2020. The number of accounts is limited, and the accounts are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Research Excellence Initiative is a programme of the University of Silesia offering financial support to employees, doctoral students and students of the University of Silesia, which is intended to contribute to strengthening the research position of our University.
