Two paths of admission at the University of Silesia in Katowice
In the area of science and engineering, the university publishes a list of topics and their assigned supervisors. Candidates choose from the list of topics. This applies to the following disciplines:
- computer and information sciences, biomedical engineering, materials engineering, mathematics, chemical sciences, and physical sciences.
In other areas, the candidate prepares the topic and finds a supervisor from among university staff. This applies to the following areas and disciplines for which recruitment is taking place:
- Natural Sciences: biological sciences, Earth and environmental sciences
- Humanities and Theology: philosophy, history, literary studies, linguistics, cultural and religious studies, art Studies, Polish studies, theology,
- Social Sciences: social and economic geography and spatial management, communication and media studies, political science and public administration, law, sociology, education, psychology
Arts: film and theatre, music, fine arts and art conservation.
Therefore, the first two milestones vary depending on the area of admission you choose.
