Cieszyn is one of the academic cities of the University of Silesia. This is where the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science is located – a lively academic centre that connects science, culture and art.
A novelty that will certainly make life easier not only for students and employees of the University of Silesia, but also for residents of the Silesian Voivodeship, is the establishment of a new railway station – Cieszyn University. And there is another good news – at the beginning of September, railway connections between Skoczów and Cieszyn were re-activated. Now the passengers are able to reach Katowice in 95 minutes.
Thanks to the construction of the new station (located near ul. Kazimierza Brodzińskiego) it is easier to reach the Cieszyn campus. On foot, the route takes four minutes. It is also easier to get to the industrial and commercial zone at ul. Stawowa. “The station also enables good transport link with the local and intercity buses (…). This area constitues a completely new public space” – informs the website Koleje Śląska Cieszyńskiego.
