Jury of the Gdynia Film Festival awarded prizes in the Young Cinema Competition. Among laureates are students of Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty at University of Silesia. The Lucjan Bokiniec Award of the Young Cinema Competition was granted to Mateusz Głowacki for the film entitled “When the Light of Dawn Arises”. Grzegorz Zariczny was awarded with the Special Award for the film “Our bad winter” .

The Gdynia Film Festival takes place annually, and is focused on promotion of Polish cinema.
Each year newest Polish films compete in Gdynia for the Golden Lions award.
