Call for proposals called “Open access” was launched on 9 November. Its goal is to finance Open Access-type publications in prestigious high impact open journals.
The competition is addressed to the employees conducting scientific activity at our University. Financing is commitment-based and can cover publication of scientific texts in open scientific journals. The maximum amount of one-off subsidy is PLN 15,000. Applicants in the competition are directors of institutes, who indicate articles written by representatives of particular disciplines intended for open access publication.
The competition refers to the goals of Research Excellence Initiative by strengthening the visibility of results of high quality research conducted at the University of Silesia in Katowice and supporting scientists at all stages of their scientific development.
