Patent Office of the Republic of Poland has announced the results of the 18th of the competition for the best research papers, designs of posters related to the subject of intellectual property protection, short movie and media information.
The laureates include the following representatives of the University of Silesia in Katowice:
- Dr Małgorzata Kłoskowicz from Media Communication Centre – 2nd prize in the competition for media information on the subject of intellectual property protection (including industrial property protection). This distinction was awarded for three articles published on the University’s website:

» Patents Made by Scientists from the University of Silesia. An Interview with Mariusz Grzesiczak, Patent Attorney
» Patent Your Solutions. An Interview with Mariusz Grzesiczak, Patent Attorney - Katarzyna Nachman, student of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science at the University of Silesia – distinction in the competition for the best poster on the subject related to intellectual property protection 2020 in the student category;
- Jakub Wyczik – 1st prize in the competition for the best research paper on the subject of intellectual property 2020 for the master’s thesis entitled „Virtual goods – civil law aspects”.
The competitions were organised by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, and Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology. Their goal is to expand the creative and educational potential by awarding the most valuable achievements designed to promote the concept of intellectual property protection.
