Ambassador Jan Tombiński was a guest of the University of Silesia on Wednesday, 17 November 2021. The visit was an opportunity to meet the Rector, prof. Ryszard Koziołek and the students of the university.
Ambassador Jan Tombiński is a Polish diplomat who served as: the Polish ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina (1996–1999), the Polish ambassador to Slovenia (1996–1998), the Polish ambassador to France (2001–2006), the permanent representative of the Republic of Poland to the European Union (2007–2012), the ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine (2012–2016) and the Holy See (2016–2020). Currently, he conducts classes in the field of Polish foreign policy for 2nd cycle students of International Political Science and Diplomacy.
