The Ministry of Education and Science awarded scholarships for significant scientific, artistic and sports achievements for the 2021/2022 academic year. Among the laureates there are seven students of the University of Silesia in Katowice. They will receive a scholarship of PLN 17,000.

- Anna Herman (Creative Writing and Publishing Marketing within the framework of individual studies),
- Dorota Kołodziej (Polish Studies),
- Katarzyna Main (Graphic Arts),
- Karolina Monwid-Olechnowicz (Cinematography and Photography),
- Karolina Paszcza (Applied Geology).
A total of 432 scholarships were awarded out of 910 eligible applications.
