Editors: K.S

Last year, the team of the Centre for Polar Studies of the University of Silesia started cooperation with ING Hubs Poland. A group of Centre’s scientists and ING Hubs employees have developed areas of potential cooperation during bilateral meetings, which currently include topics such as avalanche threats and glacier monitoring.

The cooperation allows for the inclusion of the latest solutions related to machine learning and AI into the research process of employees of the University of Silesia. For ING Hubs staff, it is an opportunity for development and work on solving important research problems related to ongoing climate change. As part of a donation, our University also obtained IT equipment necessary for the development of servers and analytical and teaching work.

The coordinator of cooperation between the Centre for Polar Studies and ING Hubs Poland is Beata Fojcik, MSc.

More information about cooperation can be found on the ING Hubs Poland website.
