From 1st to 6th of December 2014 prof. Wiesław Banyś, Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice and prof. Jolanta Tambor, Director of the School of Polish Language and Culture are visiting Northeastern University in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China.
The occasion to pay a visit is prof. Yi Lijun, the most famous Polish literature translator into Chinese, 80th birthday anniversary as well as 60th anniversary of creation of the Polish Studies in Beijing. Prof. Yi Lijun will be honoured with the gold medal, “Merit for the University of Silesia.”
Polish delegation will meet the authorities of the Liaoning Province, and authorities of the Northeastern University – our partner institution in China.
University’s representatives will also take part in the conference “Literary meeting of two cultures. Looking at the development of the recent Polish literature” at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.
