Due to the organisation of the ‘Rajd Śląska 2024’ (‘Silesia Rally 2024’) event on Friday, 11 October 2024, from 3.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., there will be changes in the operation of public transport in the centre of Katowice.
The car rally will completely close the following streets to traffic:
- Aleja Wojciecha Korfantego (Wojciech Korfanty Avenue) – eastern roadways, from the intersection with ul. Moniuszki to the intersection with ul. Olimpijska,
- Rondo im. Gen. Jerzego Ziętka (Gen. Jerzy Ziętek Roundabout) – eastern side – there will be no way to travel to and from Metropolis GZM’s eastern cities,
- Aleja Roździeńskiego (Roździeński Avenue) – northern and southern roadways, from Katowice Rondo to the intersection with ul. Olimpijska,
- ul. Uniwersytecka – from the intersection with Al. Roździeńskiego to rondo Pietera (Pietera Roundabout),
- ul. Uniwersytecka – from the intersection with Al. Roździeńskiego to the intersection with ul. Góreckiego,
Therefore, for bus routes: 1, 4, 30, 40, 154, 673, 800, 805, 807, 808, 813, 814, 817, 835, 920, 930, 940, AP, M2, M4, M23 and M101 there will be detours and changes to timetables.
