The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland announced the results of competitions for the best research papers on intellectual property, media information, posters and a short film. The winners include representatives of the University of Silesia in Katowice:
- Małgorzata Kłoskowicz, PhD, from the Media Communication Centre – 3rd prize in the competition for media information on the protection of intellectual property, including industrial property. The award was granted for four articles published on the website of the University of Silesia:

Dominik Gabor, a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia received a distinction of the Minister of Education and Science for his MA thesis entitled “Fields of exploitation in Polish copyright law”;
- Sandra Słowik, a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia received a distinction of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for her MA thesis entitled “3D printing technology and copyright law”.
The competitions are organised by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Ministry of Development and Technology. Their goal is to promote knowledge about the protection of intellectual property.
