The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) is starting work on the national internationalisation strategy. Representatives of organisations and institutions of the higher education and science system were invited to work on the project carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Tomasz Pietrzykowski, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof., Vice-Rector for International and Domestic Cooperation of the University of Silesia has become a member of the Expert Team for the National Internationalisation Strategy. The acts of appointment were presented on 31 January 2024, during the first meeting of this body. Meeting with the participation of Andrzej Szeptycki, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof., Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and Dawid Kostecki, PhD, Director of NAWA was an opportunity to present the schedule of work on creating a strategy for the internationalisation of higher education and science. These activities will be supported by three sub-teams created within the established expert group. Their activities will concern:
- student mobility and internationalisation of education,
- mobility of scientists, including PhD students, and internationalisation of science,
- as well as science diplomacy.
