During the conference in the series “International Students in Poland” which was held from 31 March to 1 April 2022 at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław, awards were presented to the best foreign students in Poland selected as part of the INTERSTUDENT 2022 competition.
One of the winners was Maksym Shcherbyuk from Ukraine, a graduate of School of Polish Language and Culture and the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia in Katowice. He received the award in the category of 2nd cycle (master’s) studies.
Maksym Shcherbyuk participated in Polish language classes at the highest level of advancement. He also represented the University of Silesia in the prestigious international Willem C. Vis Moot competition for law students. He was a representative of students at the faculty council and a member of the Legal Committee of the Student Government of the University of Silesia, he also held managerial positions in student research groups. In 2021 he was a laureate of the programme “Best Alumni 2021”.
The INTERSTUDENT competition has been organised for twelve years by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the Educational Foundation “Perspektywy” as part of the programme “Study in Poland”.
