Would you like to innovate and at the same time promote public engagement in your course? In this online workshop you will learn and understand the theoretical and methodological aspects that involve Service-Learning. You will also be able to identify the main characteristics of the Service-Learning methodology and the main guidelines for the implementation of A+S in a course, knowing good teaching practices of diverse disciplinary areas. It will be a space where you will be able to value the methodology and its characteristics as a pedagogical tool that enhances learning, develops values and contributes to the community.

This workshop addresses the relevance of reflection in Service-Learning. The main objective is for participants to acquire the necessary tools to understand and apply reflection in a Service-Learning course. The session will emphasize the importance of integrating a reflection strategy as an essential component in the design and execution of a Service-Learning course. Attendees will have the opportunity to identify the key elements of an effective reflection strategy and learn how to design reflection activities that promote the development of meaningful learning in students.
This workshop will address and exemplify reflection activities to provide teachers with tools they can implement in their courses. Practical examples will be discussed, and exercises will be conducted for participants to experience reflection and its impact on learning. The importance of this workshop lies in its practical and applied approach, which aims to empower faculty to effectively integrate reflection into their SL course syllabi.
