It attaches particular importance to protecting the rights and well-being of those involved in the research process (participants and researchers) – including whether the research participants have given their informed and voluntary consent to participate, whether there are any risks associated with participation in the research, and whether measures have been put in place to mitigate those risks. The Committee also pays attention to copyright compliance and the proper processing of personal data.
