BUILDING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES OF SOCIAL WORKERS THROUGH DISTANCE LEARNING IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract: The article is devoted to the issue of distance learning. It discusses the relevance and grounds of using distance learning tools in the education process of higher education institutions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and describes the organization of distance learning at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors present the professional competences of social work specialists and academic disciplines that form these competences on the exam- ple of the educational program “Social Advocacy” of the first level of higher educa- tion (Bachelor) as well as the basic ICTs in the process of distance learning used by teachers of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors introduce the expected results of implementation and realization of distance learning in the education process of higher educational institutions in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
